What you expected and what you saw
For a user you believe is wrongly listed: their display name and what they created or edited during the period

We never need your password, API tokens, or access to your site. If anyone claiming to represent us asks for those, it isn't us.

Please do not post security reports publicly — email them.

Known limits

Each one follows from what Confluence Cloud exposes to apps. None of them changes who gets listed — they affect what the app can tell you about why.

Confluence only

Jira activity is not counted. A user who lives in Jira and holds a Confluence seat they never write in will appear — which is usually the point, but worth knowing. The Jira version answers the other half.

Reading leaves no trace

Confluence Cloud does not expose page views or login history to apps. Someone who reads all day and writes nothing is indistinguishable from someone who never signs in.

It cannot remove anyone

By design. The app has no write permission at all; reclaiming a seat is done by you in Atlassian Administration, after you have decided.

Large sites take minutes

The verification pass is exhaustive rather than sampled. On a site with years of content the scan can run for several minutes — you can close the page and come back.

Service status

The app runs entirely on Atlassian Forge. If Confluence Cloud or Forge is degraded, the app is affected — see status.atlassian.com.
